Dial gauge in mm · mapping in this demo: 1 mm = 1°. What matters is the light gap above the steel edge; light may still show on the base side.

03 How it works
Four steps to the angle.

Calibrate
Switch on, place the device on a clean true bar, close the light gap and zero it.

Position
Place it at 90° to the side edge, with the scribe line exactly at the transition from base to steel edge.
- 03
Measure
Turn the knurled nut until the light gap between edge and straightedge is minimal or closed.
- 04
Read
Read the exact angle straight from the display – in degrees or millimetres.
